POL M: Bełchatów saved by the bell in Częstochowa

In the match of the round eleven of Polish PlusLiga, PGE Skra Bełchatów kept the aureole of invincibility after defeating home team of AZS Częstochowa with 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-20). Maciej Muzaj was elected as MVP of the match.

Most of the uncertainty was seen in the first set which began with an attack of Częstochowa’s middle blocker Mariusz Marcyniak (1-0). Until the first technical timeout both teams played point for point.

Through effective double block on Maciej Muzaj, hosts came to one-point lead for the first technical timeout (8-7).

Just before the second technical timeout, Facundo Conte has served an ace (15-16).

After the break by, Michał Kaczyński successfully scored in counterattack, and a moment later Marcyniak sent an ace for Częstochowa’s lead  (19-16). With this result, fire alarm announced in the hall.

After an hour of break, both teams returned to the court.

The end of the set was very tight. Finally, the guests turned out better. Effective strike of Muzaj gave Bełchatów first set (25-23).
