Jastrzebski is in serious financial crisis, as the club owes a lot of money to several former players. Therefore, the new management of the Polish giant is looking to decrease expenses on every level, and one of the options is to cancel the participation in European competitions for the next season.
Recall that Jastrzebski should play in the CEV Cup and face Omonia Nicosia in the 1/16 final.
“These are big expenses which we cannot afford. We checked the prices of tickets to Cyprus and they are not cheap. Therefore, we are seriously considering to withdraw from European competitions, even if that means that we will face a penalty from CEV” said Przemyslaw Michalczyk, new President of Jastrzebski.
