It has been almost a year since Poland won a gold medal at the World Championship and the MVP of the tournament, Mariusz Wlazły, recalled some details for the official website of his club, PGE Skra Bełchatów.

“When I returned to the national team, I didn’t think that I would be the world champion. But without my colleagues there’s little I could do… If anyone in January 2014 told me that in nine months I would be the world champion, I wouldn’t have believed in it. But it worked,” the opposite emphasized.

“We always share our individual awards. Nobody gets an individual award only through his own abilities. It’s natural that if I get a prize, in this case money, to share it with the team. In my case, my colleagues performed a 90 percent of work for me… Money will be spent, but medals will always remind us what happened,” Wlazły finished.
