According to sport.pl, Stephane Antiga won’t stay the head coach of Poland men’s national team. The Frenchman should have had a meeting with the Federation officials on Monday, September 5, but he asked to postpone the meeting for a week, due to family reasons.
Therefore, the final decision about Antiga’s future as Poland’s head coach will be made on September 12. And, according to this source, there is only one possible scenario – The Polish Volleyball Federation will sack Stephane Antiga and look for the new head coach for the men’s national team.
Recall that Antiga led Poland toward World Championship title in 2014. however it was the only major success of the white and red crew in the last two years. Poland finished at the 4th place in the World League 2015, then they seized the 5th spot at the European Championship 2015, they ended up 5th in the World League 2016, while finally they suffered elimination in the quarterfinals of the Olympic Games 2016.
So, according to sport.pl, the only question is – Who will replace Antiga at the bench of Poland men’s national team?
