Jastrzębski Węgiel fans have always been making the fieriest atmosphere in PlusLiga but it did not help their club to win the Round 5 encounter against Trefl, 2-3 (20-25, 25-23, 22-25, 29-27, 10-15).
Trefl, who last time beat Jastrzębski in November 2015, managed to overcome financial difficulties for the third time this season (3-1 record) and were pushed to the win by Artur Szalpuk, who scored 28 points. Maciej Muzaj topped Jastrzębski with 33 points.
Indykpol AZS Olsztyn kept thrilling volleyball supporters in Poland as they maintained a perfect record in the league. If the previous three triumphs did not give a credit to Olsztyn players, the fourth definitely did because it was achieved against the powerhouse PGE Skra Bełchatów, 3-2. This was the first win of Olsztyn against Skra in 11 years! The Czech receiver Jan Hadrava was the most deserving player for this stunt as he scored 23 points. Bartosz Bednorz made 26 for Skra.
