The portal Metropolia Bydgoska revealed and all major volleyball-related websites in Poland transferred that Jakub Rohnka, the outside hitter of the Polish men’s championship PlusLiga side Łuczniczka Bydgoszcz, was tested positive for the substance methylhexanamine which is prohibited.

The POLADA (the Polish anti-doping agency – Polska Agencja Antydopingowa) collected the sample A from Rohnka in January which showed the presence of the above-mentioned substance, a stimulant or energy-boosting dietary supplement. This was the same substance discovered in the body of Patryk Dudek, the World Championship silver medalists in motorcycle speedway. Interestingly, he is born exactly in Bydgoszcz.

Rohnka requested a sample B to be tested. In case it confirms the result of the sample A testing, a 25-year-old player will be disqualified from competing for 2 years.

Łuczniczka decided to remove the player from the squad until this situation resolves.
