Lloyd and Kasia
Her team Volei Hinode Barueri was defeated in the quarterfinals by Volei Nestle Osasco and in that way, they finished a season. They were newcomers but “from the match to the match” they have played better:
“There were no big expectations in the club because our team was a newcomer. But the goal was to defeat Osasco and qualify for the semi-finals. I’m injured, Thaisa came from a long recovery, Jaqueline is also with an injury… Nevertheless, we were making progress and playing high-level whole playoffs. I didn’t expect that after the injury I will be a Brazilian champion with a newcomer but it’s a pity anyway. My heart was left on the court. I cannot lose, that’s why there were anger and sadness at the end of the last match” added an experienced player.
Kasia is 35-year-old and she is still not sure will she ended a career or maybe take another volleyball challenge:
“I really don’t know, I need to think about whether I still want to play volleyball. I plan to rest, enjoy the sun, go to Rio for a trip and get there as a tourist, take a walk around Copacabana. In Brazil, we have 35 degrees; it is the fullness of the summer. But for Easter, I intend to return to Poland. I’ll make a decision later. I am not in a hurry ” said Katarzyna Skowrońska-Dolata.
