Bielsko-Biała, who remained second-to-last in the Plus Liga 2017/2018 standings, missed the chance to clinch the first set as they dropped a 24-22. The defending champions Zaksa won it by a 26-24 and finished the match in straight sets as they prevailed in the next two by a 25-20 and 26-24.
The Puerto Rican Maurice Torres topped Zaksa with 16 points, while Łukasz Wiśniewski contributed with 6 kill blocks. The Ukrainian Oleg Krikun scored 14 points for Bielsko-Biała.
On Wednesday, April 4, Zaksa will play the 1st leg of the 2018 CEV Champions League Playoffs 6 against the German side VfB Friedrichshafen.
