POL M: Skra sweep Zaksa in derby with no impact on ranking

PGE Skra Bełchatów defeated Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle in the last round of the regular stage in the Polish men’s volleyball Plus Liga 2017/2018 by a 3-0 (26-24, 25-17, 34-32).

Despite the fact a derby between Skra and Zaksa in the last round, Round 30, of the regular season in Plus Liga 2017/2018 was of no significance when it comes to the rankings, these two sides have played an intense match in which Skra prevailed in straight sets, but by clinching two of them with a two-point difference.

Both teams are now waiting for the rivals in the semifinals, Zaksa as the top-seed and Skra as No.2, securing these berths for the playoffs earlier.

Mariusz Wlazły was the best scorer in Skra with 18 points, including 4 aces. Karol Kłos added 4 kill blocks as well. Rafał Buszek made 10 points for Zaksa. Krzysztof Rejno contributed with 4 kill blocks and Kamil Semeniuk with 80% reception (10 dogs, 70% perfect).
