Tetyukhin stated that Marin is not guilty!

“It’s like a hammer hits you in the head. A complete nonsense… The worst thing is when a person is being punished for something he is not guilty. A young man who is at the peak of his career and who has a chance to go to the Olympics. And suddenly, everything falls apart. Anyway, the whole meldonium case is very dark, suspicious and politicized. Many of our people were tested positive in just a month. In my opinion, it is all deliberately organized…” said Teyukhin for Sportfakt.

He’s not guilty? Hm… lot of russian sportsman are getting punished for taking meldonium, much more often than sportsman in other countries. Of course, it’s not confirmed, what happens with body after taking that and for how long time it works, but if it’s illegal, anybody, who takes this, should be suspended. Maybe not only Markin took meldonium, but he’s the one, who’s got big problem about that.

@DSD,

Sometimes its not working just reading. He was clear that all this ‘doping’ is just politics. If Russia did disturb plans of USA and other western allies no problem will be made about meldonium. Unfortunately it just show us how politics are dirty!

How can somebody be punished if it was legal before it was illegal. And, it will take approximately 20 days to clear off your system, so-called halflife of the drug.

It should have been ilegal years ago but antidoping is always behind of doping. That’s no excuse for taking drugs that make your performance better or your volume of practice bigger. But now finaly it’s clear how Tetyukhin managed to arrived at 40 years still playing at good level or how Russia was able to beat Brasil in London 3-2 after a 0-2 in the first sets…
