After parting ways with Pavel Zakharov, and now with Evgeniy Bannov, who moved to Bulgarian top division club Levski Sofia, Samotlor engaged two players instead of them for the second part of the 2017/18 season. These are the young opposite Sergey Pirainen, who started the season in Division 2 side Prikame Perm as a loaned player and an outside hitter Anton Dubrovin, who was a free agent after parting ways with Dinamo Krasnodar at the end of last season.
