It seems that there are no more dilemmas and that José Roberto Guimarães “Zé Roberto“ will take charge of one of the best Turkish women’s volleyball clubs at the moment, Türk Hava Yolları (THY).
Voleybol Magazin reported that THY reached an agreement with an iconic Brazilian expert Zé Roberto and that he’ll be in command of the Istanbul side in the next season. Furthermore, the Olympic gold medalist with the Brazilian Women’s National Team in Beijing 2008 and London 2012 will bring the current biggest prospect of his country’s volleyball to THY with him. The player in question is Júlia Bergmann, a soon-to-be 22-year-old outside hitter. This coincides with her decision not to pursue a professional career immediately after ending her studies and NCAA career with Georgia Tech.
Recall that Zé Roberto recently confirmed media writings of having offered to coach in Europe again after 11 years. He’ll leave the post at Barueri Volleyball Club after seven years.
