CRO M: HAOK Mladost smooth the way for winning national title by prevailing in Game 1 of finals

HAOK Mladost victoriously opened the 2017/18 Croatian men’s volleyball championship Superliga playoff finals versus OK Mladost Ribola Kaštela.

The top-seed HAOK Mladost headed toward a straight-set home win against No.2 OK Mladost Ribola Kaštela in Game 1 of the 2017/18 Superliga finals as they clinched the first two sets by a 25-20 and 25-23. But, their title rivals won the next two sets – 25-21, 25-21 – to tie at 2-2. Still, the team from the Croatian capital proved to be better than Mladost Ribola Kaštela for the fifth time this season (Mladost Ribola Kaštela have only two victories, so far) and prevailed in the tie-break by a 15-10.

Game 2 of the best-of-five finals is scheduled for April 4, with Mladost Ribola Kaštela being the hosts.
