Multiple French titleholders Paris Volley facing allegations of financial mismanagement

One-time CEV Champions League winners and nine-time French national championship Ligue A gold medalists, Paris Volley, are under the investigation for financial mismanagement, 100% volley-ball français reported.

For the purpose of paying taxes, the French men’s volleyball powerhouse Paris Volley declared the amount of money they pay for the players and the coaching staff for the ongoing season which instantly caused controversies among other clubs in the Ligue A. Paris claim their payroll value is 255,000 euros, which means about 1,800 euros gross per player and the coach.

Knowing that Paris have many players who are regular national team members of various countries such as Hungarian Roland Gegrye, Dutch Wouter ter Maat, Portuguese Nuno Pinheiro, Frenchman Franck Lafitte, American Mitchell Stahl, etc., other Ligue A clubs expressed doubts on the possibility of Paris to maintain such a squad with 255,000 euros and demanded more transparency, 100% volley-ball français published . How is this possible, they wonder, if Nice Volley Ball declared the smallest payroll in the Ligue A, which is 425,000 euros? And, how is this possible when even Division 2 clubs declared a higher payroll? The same source said that Ligue A clubs might refuse to play Paris in the national championship until the tangle of their financial management unwraps!

Because of this, Paris will face investigation for financial mismanagement which will be conducted by the DNACG, the National Directorate of Assistance and Management Control (an organization charged with controlling the administrative, financial and legal management of the clubs competing in the French professional leagues).

The DNACG is already examining documents on this matter and will start an investigation in early February, 100% volley-ball français confirmed.

TUR W: Ognejnovic to replace Nootsara in Fenerbahce!?

Nootsara can play with Kim Yeon Koung in Shanghai Team for next season. Reply

Is this the most controversial point in 2018 CEV Champions League…? (VIDEO)

It's because at the end of the day: the video challenge system is still HUMAN controlled. Some people are just blind... or biased...

This is just another embarrassment for the sport of volleyball. Even with replay technology, they still somehow manage to mess things up.

And to make things worse, the referee had the nerve to give them a red card for outrage that was LEGITIMATE. Stubborn referee! Even if Lokomotiv will lose the match in the end, I'm sure they would have preferred that loss instead of being cheated out of a point. Reply

If Tomkom is kept for next season (though that seems unlikely in my opinion). Fenerbache should think of getting one of her younger NT member as a receiver/wing spiker back up. Even though they aren't as tall as their European counter part, they can receive well and attack too. I'm sure they would be cheaper to higher than most other European options or are they? lol...And they already have a connection with Nootsara, so maybe they can play some fast balls every now and then to score a few quick points too.
