It is all over! Osmany Juantorena will continue career in Lube Treia! He has confirmed this information for Italian media.
“It was very concrete offer, we have not finalized it yet but I would say it is very likely that Lube is my new team.”
What was the main reason to make this decision?
“I decided to go back to Italy. I want to return and to stay close to the family, my daughter Victoria who turns two years on May 3rd. As every father knows, when a child is born your life started being different. I know I will learn less in Italy but money is not everything. I never forget where I came from and who they are. As a boy in Cuba I was playing without shoes because my parents didn’t have money to buy me.”
What Trentino fans and president are going to say?
“I would have stayed in Trento for my whole life but the president couldn’t keep the team that had won everything. I will always be grateful to president Mosna who believed in me before I proved myself. I’m grateful to everyone. I like those fans. But if they want to whistle because of my choice, I can’t do anything. It’s just the way it is” added Juantorena.
Osmany has been playing for Halkbank since 2013! Before the Turkish team, Osmany was a member of Trentino.
