“Three matches in three days. It was not easy. I stayed without strength in the fifth set against the Poles. I thought: “When will it end”. Wagner’s memorial was not our primary goal and we wanted to prepare for the main event. The tournament turned out to be very difficult for us. We played 14 sets in three days,” says Dmitry Volkov.
