The Italian coach Micelli took over the command of the Greek vice-champions Olympiacos. The 52-year-old expert spent the last 3 seasons at the helm of France’s Volero Le Cannet whom he brought to the historic Ligue A Féminine title.

Micelli is a renowned coach, having 2 CEV Championship titles on his account (with Foppapedretti Bergamo in 2009 and 2010) but also 1 Turkish Championship, 2 Turkish Cups and Super Cups, and 1 Italian, Polish, and French Cup. Micelli, who’ll perform a dual role as he was recently appointed Bulgaria Women head coach, replaced his fellow countryman Carlo Parisi after Olympiacos lost domination in Greece after 8 years, losing playoff finals to Panathinaikos A.O.
