In the heart of Yaoundé, Cameroon, six gripping matches unfurled on the 3rd day of the 21st edition of the Women’s African Volleyball Championship, taking place from 16th to 25th August 2023.

Pool A Results:

  1. Egypt vs. Cameroon: Egypt emerged triumphant, outplaying Cameroon in a 4-set duel (25-16, 29-19, 21-25, 26-16).
  2. Nigeria vs. Burundi: Nigeria effortlessly bested Burundi in straight sets 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-9).
  3. Algeria vs. Mali: Algeria showcased their dominance against Mali, securing a 3-0 victory (25-10, 25-7, 25-12).

Pool A Standings: Egypt continues to reign supreme with an unblemished record. Cameroon occupies the second spot with a singular loss, a record mirrored by Algeria in third and Nigeria in fourth. Trailing without any victories are Burundi and Mali.

Pool B Results:

  1. Rwanda vs. Burkina Faso: Rwanda showcased their strength, clinching a straight-set 3-0 win (25-8, 25-7, 25-14).
  2. Morocco vs. Lesotho: Morocco commanded the game, defeating Lesotho 3-0 (25-9, 25-11, 25-11).
  3. Kenya vs. Uganda: Kenya maintained their top form, triumphing over Uganda 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-14).

Pool B Standings: Kenya leads the pack with an impeccable record, having not conceded a set. Morocco, with a 2-1 record, claims the second spot, matched by Rwanda in third. Uganda finds itself in fourth, whereas Burkina Faso and Lesotho are still seeking their first win.
