The surprising transfer happened in the French Men’s Volleyball Championship: a former France National Team member Antonin Rouzier joined Paris for the rest of the 2020/21 season.

The MVP of the 2015 CEV EuroVolley, Rouzier, left Qatari Al-Rayyan to join Paris, thus returning to play in his home country after nine years.

A 34-year-old outside hitter came to the club from the French capital as a medical joker, replacing the Dutchman Robin Overbeeke whose rehabilitation from the Achilles tendon surgery went longer than expected.

Rouzier was the best scorer in the Qatari league at the moment of leaving for France. He retired for the France National Team, for which he played 280 games, after the 2016 Rio Olympics.
