The most-titled CEV Women’s Volleyball Champions League club, Dinamo Moscow, hired a setter Tatyana Romanova in a bit controversial way.

The 11-time Champions League and seven-time Russian Championship winners, Dinamo Moscow, hired the country’s national team setter Romanova for the next season.

However, her former club Uralochka-NTMK won’t be pleased with the way a 25-year-old player left their ranks. Romanova unilaterally terminated the contract with the Ekaterinburg team and moved to Dinamo Moscow. The All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV) formalized the transfer, while later the Arbitration Commission will clarify its details. What Uralochka have at their disposal at the moment is to determine the amount of compensation for early termination of the contract.

This is the second case of a transfer of the player of Uralochka, who defended their colors last season and had a valid contract with the club, to some other club this summer which forced them to start the legal battle.

FIVB releases COVID-19 guidelines for restart of volleyball activities

At last the guidelines on Covid-19, from a top governing volleyball body.... I appreciate them. It is a progress. Some of recommendations are general, some specific for volleybal. It seems to be the soft legal instrument. Nevertheless they could assist to national VFs… Majority of recommendations are reasonable, some of them should not be a problem to kept, some will need a much bigger effort to be kept, some should be included yet. For this goal, there should be obtained a support (best voluntary) and discipline from athletes, coaches, officials, referees , medical staff, club owners, fans etc - realised what is in a stake… Media will have an important role in that..
For implementing of these measures there should be probably prepared also some Roadmap.. Perhaps it would be a suitable to consider the responsibility for pertinent officials, positions, and how to enforce crucial measures, recommendations, specified for this sport - if the situation would be worsen ....
We can hope , that these epidemiological preventive measures will be only temporary and volleyball will return soon to halls, and fans could see their teams personally.
