USA Women’s NT – “We stand against racism in any form”

1050 2

The USA Women’s volleyball national team has supported the Thai Women’s National team.

USA Women’s National Team stands against racism in any form. Volleyball, as well as life, should be a place where all are accepted and treated equally. We are disappointed to see the derogatory behavior directed towards the Thailand Women’s National Team. It is a learning opportunity for all competitors, fans, & the entire volleyball community to create a more inclusive space. We stand with Team Thailand and are here to create a safe place to compete. Sending love, from our Women’s National Team. #stopasianhate,” has written the USA Women’s National Team on their official Instagram page.

Recall that Serbian libero made a racist gesture during the game after which she made an apology to the entire Thai team. Also, the FIVB reacted to this case.

But hey, the current topic is about racism in volleyball, not about the war. :). Perhaps you can then start a war topic somewhere else?

Right on! The self-righteousness of the USA government belies the tragic abuse it has handed out (Iraq, Afganistan, indigenous peoples and communities of color) to so many around the world and at home. Honesty and taking responsibility are more important than proclomations wrapped in the USA Flag.

GRE W: Suspended Korean player Lee Da-Yeong going to play in Greece

Excited to see Dayeong venture out to an overseas league to grow as a player! Since the Greece league is weaker than the Korean league, it'll be an opportunity to see if she can step up to the plate to lead her team as a setter, while also showing herself to other leagues for future seasons.

The twins were indefinitely suspended after the accusations made towards them about what they did back during elementary school, but they're currently in the midst of a court investigation process to prove that most of the accusations made against them were false (they acknowledged some of them and had apologized immediately & publicly for those).
Once that is resolved - hopefully soon, she should have no issues going abroad.

Heard rumours that PAOK is also looking for a foreign OH, and is looking at signing her twin sister Jaeyeong together with her as a package.
I sure hope that is true and will come to pass as well! Will be additionally fun seeing them play together, and they can rely on one another in a new foreign environment. Reply

VNL W: Preliminary stage over - China put end to USA’s invincibility, 6 players say farewell to Thailand National Team

Bless the Thai players. They share much blood, sweat and tears, many tears. They were robbed of an Olympic birth from an incompetent ref that will haunt them for the rest of their life. Reply
