The president of Italy, Giorgio Napolitano, today sent a telegram to the president of CONI, John Petrucci, to compliment the triumph of the Italy women national volleyball team, after great play in Japan Volleyball World Cup and garanted place in Olympic games qualification, for London 2012.
“The Conquest of the World Cup by the National Women’s Volleyball team is a further proof of the vitality of Italian sport and is a reward for the tenacious commitment and competitive spirit,” said president in telegram and added:
“Please give my warmest congratulations and wishes for more success, in next demanding challenges, to the athletes, technicians and executives of national team, which is a confirmation that Italian volleyball is at the top of the world”
