Alice Degradi, Italian national team and Megabox Ondulati del Savio Vallefoglia outside hitter, will not compete in the upcoming Paris Olympics. A knee injury sustained during training will prevent her from joining her teammates in the international competition starting on July 28 in the French capital.
Degradi shared her disappointment on social media: “Dear Italy, representing you at the Olympics has always been my dream, like every athlete’s. We almost made it. But this is life. I will cheer for my teammates from afar and hope their dream fulfillment also fulfills mine. Luck has never been on my side, but I refuse to give up. I’m already working on my comeback, even if it will be slow. I’ll continue to fight for my dreams because the journey is far from over.”
