WorldofVolley is committed to fulfil its mission: to inform and educate the actors of volleyball. We continue to bring relevant knowledge closer to our readers. Xavier’s contribution will be significant for all those willing to enforce their rights but also learn more about the rules and bodies governing volleyball.
Among the tackled topics, we will be describing volleyball institutions, presenting some FIVB cases which are relevant to the players and agents (for example termination of contract due to negative sports performance) and commenting on solutions when a conflict starts with a federation, club, agent or player.
WorldofVolley will also take your requests into account! Shoot your questions on our social media, tell us what you want to be cleared out and we will write about it!
Who is Xavier Mansat?
It is important to mention that Xavier was in charge of players’ international transfers and legal-related affairs for numerous years at the CEV. Regulations, disputes, media and sponsorship contracts, disciplinary cases, elections, player’s eligibility, etc.: he dealt with all of it.
He currently works as volleyball consultant at CRESTA, an international boutique sports law firm based in Brussels, Belgium, and primarily active in football, basketball and volleyball as well as some individual sports. Its volleyball practice focuses on representing players, coaches and agents in international disputes before the CEV, the FIVB Tribunal and the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Besides, CRESTA supports volleyball clubs and governing bodies on all of their legal, regulatory, commercial and administrative matters.
