This is the third title in the competition for the players mentored by head coach Stijn Morand who had already seized the trophy in 2009 and 2011. GENT Dames – the reigning national champions – played VC OUDEGEM, winner of the national cup last season, and eventually cruised past in straight sets for a very promising start of their 2013/2014 campaign. Many fans of the team were in attendance on Saturday night in Deurne for a match that set the tone for the much awaited start of the national league.
