BERUIT, 27 February 2012 – Qatar’s Al-Rayyan sports club occupied the second place in the Arab Club Volleyball Championship 2012 which was concluded on Sunday in Beirut, Lebanon.
Al-Rayyan suffered a 2-3 defeated against Meshal Bejaya of Algeria in the final match. Al-Rayyan began the final match will a slow performance to lose the first game 17-25 but the players of Al-Rayyan showed a dazzling performance in the second and third games to lead by 2-1 (17-25 25-23 25-18). The Algerian team returned to the match in the last two games to finish the match 3-2 (17-25 25-23 25-18 25-27 12-15).
