Italy – Belgium 3-1 (26-28, 25-15, 25-16, 28-26)
What a tense and exciting game. Italy really needed a win while Belgium as an outsider had no pressure to win the game. All of this resulted in a very tense matchup.
Belgium played great at the start and pulled of a first set and early lead, but Italy responded with a lot of force, sweeping them off the field in the second and third.
Deroo and co. tried so hard to at least get a point out of this match but in a thriller ending, Italy was more focused team and took away the thre points from Belgium.
