by WoV

There was no fear of packed Spodek Arena in Katowice, of thousands crazy Polish fans, Germans agree that they wanted the atmosphere, the roar from the stands, everything.

Captain Schops“I was so proud of us after beating Iran. It was great thing that we managed to bounce back when we needed the most and that’s why I think we have to relish the opportunity and play even better in this kind of atmosphere. I like Poland, after these two seasons in Resovia I realised that probably no other country has so much respect and admiration for our sport.”

Georg Grozer“I’m actually happy to get Poland in semifinals, much like Jochen I love Poland too and always enjoy when we come to play here in any competition. It’s a great opportunity and when we play our best we can take on anybody.”

Coach Heynen“We love the atmosphere, we will get even more motivated and enjoy this amazing stage that we are in. Personally I’m very much jealous of my players because they will get the chance to play in front of full packed arena.”

We asked all of the about the predictions and as many will assume, Grozer was the most confident one. So the superstar had 50-50, Schops was a little bit more cautious with 40-60 in favour of Poland, while coach took only 15-85. Still when he heard about Grozer’s prediciton he was very happy.
