However, this is not an interview only about her success in Korea. We bet you’ve never met this side of Ivana Nesovic. We would say – wise side of the Serbian opposite. So, people, get ready to read some amazing things from the girl that was born in Belgrade.

You and your team are marching towards the championship trophy – What’s your prediction for the finals of the Korean league?

We just won the regular season and we were keeping the first place during the whole season got a trophy for that. Of course, this is not the end. The real thing is coming. We are the first finalist and now we are practicing and waiting for the opponent. Like always my goal is to win the championship so I don’t give up on my dream.“

You’ve been at the high level so far – are you satisfied with your displays?

Like a professional player, I am never satisfied with myself completely. I think always can be better and there is no limit in improving your performance. The limit is in our heads and I like to discover how far I can go.“

This is your second time to play in Expressway. Can you compare the season 2011/2012 with this one? What are the differences?

Yes this is my second time here and I am still in love with this team. I really like Asian Volleyball generally so I enjoy here so much. There is only difference that I am much older now and I can understand better the whole system and everything. I have learned so much about the Asian countries and I am still learning.  I also respect traditions in all countries and I am so thankful I have a chance to live and work with this people. Asia changed my life in a better way.“

Since the league in Korea is going to be finished soon, are you planning to join some European teams for the playoffs?

„I don’t have any plans to play playoffs in Europe now. I am focusing what is going on here. My manager Tunc Afsar is responsible for it”

How do you spend your free time in South Korea?

„Korea is  a very interesting country with endless choices where you can go and do what you want so sometimes I just go to Seoul and walk around because that city is one of my favorites or I just read book and rest. The season here is very intense and dynamic so there is not much free time.“

What are your plans for the next season?

„I don’t like to make plans or to speak about it. I am sure the great things is happening in silence.“

Since you are experienced player, what would be your message for all young players that are entering the world of professionals?

For all young people I just want to say to work hard, don’t give up and be brave. Discipline is the key if they want to be successful like their role models. I gave all my life to this and I don’t regret,“ says Ivana Nesovic and adds:

And one more thing – you need to learn what to eat. For my generation, nobody told us how to eat to be great in sport and I am sure nobody is teaching and control new generations about it. I had to discover it by myself. ”
