In 3-2 win over JTEKT Stings, Igor Omrčen, also known as ’The Emperor“, topped his team Gosei Trefuerza with 37 points which is far from sharing top spot in the list of the best Men’s and Women’s single-match scorers in volleyball history as we initially published. The error occured due to wrong interpretation of V-League’s statistics. We sincerely apologize to our readers. On the other side, Bulgarian Matey Kaziyski collected 30 points.
Macedonian Nikola Gjorgiev scored 22 in Toray Arrows’ 3-1 win over JT Thunders, where Serbian Dražen Luburić had 23 points, while Brazilian Wallace Martins had 18 in 3-0 victory of Sakai Blazers over FC Tokyo where Bosnian Milan Pepić noted 14 points.
Panasonic Panthers recovered from a shock of losing Polish star Michał Kubiak, probably until the end of the year, and suffering their first defeat of the season yesterday. They prevailed 3-0 over Suntory Sunbirds with 15 points each from Tatsuya Fukuzawa and Kunihiro Simizu. Masahiro Yanagida scored 17 in the losing team.
