As Santiago, the Philippine Superliga title holder with Foton Tornadoes, stated for “Business Mirror”, she still hasn’t decided whether to stay in her homeland for one more season or to go abroad.
“It’s 70-30 (percent). A 70 percent is for my love for my university (National University) and my unfinished business, which is to win (UAAP – University Athletic Association of the Philippines) championship,” said Santiago, adding that remaining 30 percent depend on both domestic and international offers she has received to continue her professional career. However, Santiago did not reveal the name of the club(s) that sent an offer to her.
Foton Tornadoes eagerly expect the decision of their best player last season (MVP of the Superliga Grand Prix) and hope to have her back for the 2017/2018.
Until she decides on her destination for next season, Santiago trains with the the Lady Bulldogs (National University Women’s Volleyball team) and Philippine NT, preparing for the 29th Southeast Asian Games, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in August.
