Sesc vs. Praia
Praia crowned their incredible 2017/18 Superliga campaign with Round 10 victory over defending champions Sesc RJ on the road. And what a victory it was – 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-16). Thus, Praia remained the only unbeaten side in the league with 10-0 (30 points, only one set lost!), pushing Sesc down to 9-1 and 26 points. Besides breaking Sesc’s 13-game winning streak, which included last season games as well, Praia ended their negative tradition in duels with Sesc that consisted of 23 straight defeats! As for the match itself, an American Nicole Fawcett topped the winning side with 15 points (3 aces). Monique Pavão poured in the same number of points for Sesc.
São Cristóvão Saúde/São Caetano got themselves the 4th win in the tournament (6 losses) by prevailing against BRB/Brasília Vôlei in four sets with 17 points from Fernanda Tomé. Priscila Souza made 12 points on the other side.
