Two out of four places in the 3rd Round of the 2022 CEV Women’s Volleyball Champions League are taken.
ŽOK Ub, the winners of the last Serbian Championship, secured a place in the 3rd Round of qualifications for the CEV Women’s Champions League Volley 2022. In the second leg of the 2nd Round, they defeated Bosnia’s ŽOK Bimal-Jedinstvo Brčko with a score of 3-0, partially 25-16, 25-14, and 25-15. Ub dominated from the start to the end of the away match, repeating the result achieved in the first leg. There were no players in double digits in either of the teams, but Aleksandra Gligorić (five aces) and Ljiljana Ranković (73 % reception /11 digs/) from the Serbian side stood out a bit more than other players.
Ukraine’s SC Prometey Dnipro also advanced to the next qualifying round of the Champions League. They defeated Slovenia’s Calcit Kamnik after an intense battle in the rematch with the same result as in the first leg – 3-1. Kateryna Dudnyk top-scored Prometey with 21 points. Bulgarian Nasya Dimitrova set up five blocks.
