The hosts Poland and Finland are the last two participants of the Playoffs in the 2017 Eurovolley.

The Polish National Team did a good job for themselves, but also for Finland, by sweeping Estonia in the last round of Pool A in Gdańsk, 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-22) thanks to 12 points from Bartłomiej Lemański. The Poles settled at No.2. Finland finished third seed in the pool.

As for the other pools, the quarterfinalists and the Playoff participants were known even before today, but the order of the teams that will take part in the Playoffs in nearly every pool was not determined earlier.

In Pool B in Szczecin, Italy made a full recovery after a poor start and achieved the second win in a row. The „Azzurri“ outplayed the Czech Republic 3-0 to claim the second place, pushing today’s rivals to No.3. Filippo Lanza noted 19 points.

In Pool C in Kraków, the evening match did not bring anything new regarding the order of the teams. It is worth mentioning that Russia kept the perfect record (3-0 and 9-0 set-ratio) by beating Spain. Maksim Mikhailov made 18 points.

As for Pool D Katowice, France struggled once again but managed to achieve a straight-set win over Turkey, partially 25-23, 25-23, 25-22, despite the fact each set was competitive until the very end. Thus, the „Team Yavbou“ became the second seed in the pool while Turkey became No.3. Trévor Clévenot topped France with 12 points. Earvin Ngapeth stepped in only in the third set as France‘s head coach Laurent Tillie did not have the need to send him in earlier.

Teams that secured direct qualification for the quarterfinals as the pool leaders: Serbia (Pool A), Germany (Pool B), Russia (Pool C) and Belgium (Pool D).

Teams that secured a Playoff spot: No.2 Poland and No.3 Finland (Pool A), No.2 Italy and No.3 Czech Republic (Pool B), No.2 Bulgaria and No.3 Slovenia (Pool C) and No.2 France and No.3 Turkey (Pool D).

Today’s schedule, Round 3:
