Despite signing up for 2017/18 Superliga, C’an Ventura Palma still did not close financial consctruction, waiting for a support from the sponsors who still did not arrive. This was caused by the fact that President Damiá Seguí resigned due to his advanced years (82).

The lack of funds at the moment and uncertainty of gaining them quickly had a decisive role in withdrawing from the 2018 CEV Champions League and other European Cups.

The name of the team, roster and coaching staff will be defined once the budget is known.
