Kazincbarcika
The best team in the 2017/18 NB I regular season, Kazincbarcika, was the first to secure their place in the playoff finals. They swept No.4 Pénzügyőr with 3-0 in the series of the semifinals.
Thanks to 16 points from Dávid Szabó, Kazincbarcika scored a straight-set win vs. Pénzügyőr in Game 3, partially 25-23, 25-15, 25-13.
In the other semifinals, No.3 Fino Kaposvár took a 2-1 lead in the series against No.2 HÉP-Kecskemét with a 3-0 victory in Game 3.
