On their way to the semi-finals of the Men’s World Championship 2022, Brazil overcame Argentina in the South American classic in four sets in Gliwice, Poland. Partially, it was 25-16, 23-25, 25-22, and 25-21.

Just over a year after losing the bronze medal match at the Tokyo Olympics, Renan Dal Zotto’s players took revenge on Argentina to guarantee themselves a spot among the four best in the competition for the seventh time in a row (regular World Champs semi-finalists since 1998) in search of their fourth title.

Yoandy Leal contributed up to 25 points to the victory of Brazil, probably making his best appearance in the national team jersey, leading the game’s scorers’ chart.

Later tonight, Brazil will learn who they’ll face in the semis on Saturday in Katowice. It’ll be the winner of a duel between Poland and the United States.
