Serbia vs. Argentina

At the opening game in Tehran, Serbia have defeated Argentina in straight sets 3-0 (25-18, 25-22,  25-23). The team of Julio Velasco couldn’t do anything to stop the World League winners in Tehran. A good thing for them that they will get another chance to beat Serbia at the World League Week 3 tournament in Argentina.

The top scorers in Serbia were Uros Kovacevic with 12 and Marko Ivovic with 11 points. On the other side, Cristian Poglajen had 15 points.

We have watched a very good game in Varna between the Olympic Champions Brazil and Canada. After the first set, the Brazilian side was trailing by one, but it didn’t have a bad influence on the team since they have managed to win the next three sets and to win the game.

Renan Buiatti (19 points) and Lucas Saatkamp (17 points) were the top scorers on the winning side, while John Gordon Perrin was the top scorer in Canada with 20 points.
