As they did not qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the World League – Group 3 will be the first major project for Germany’s National Team this summer. German NT has even a larger cause to do their best in the competition as they will host the final tournament, in Frankfurt (July 1-2).
These are 21 players which will begin preparations in Düren, on June 1 (there are 8 debutants):

Opposites: Simon Hirsch (Latina/ITA), Daniel Malescha (rookie – Herrsching)
Receivers: Denis Kaliberda, Christian Fromm (Perugia/ITA), Dirk Westphal (Nantes/FRA), Moritz Karlitzek (rookie), Tom Strohbach (Rottenburg), Moritz Reichert (United Volleys), Ruben Schott (rookie – BR Volleys), David Sossenheimer (rookie – Bühl)
Middle blockers: Marcus Böhme (Lubin/POL), Philipp Collin (Tours/FRA), Tim Broshog (Maaseik/BEL), Noah Baxpöhler (rookie – Coburg), Tobias Krick (rookie – United Volleys)
Liberos: Thilo Späth (Friedrichshafen), Leonhard Tille (rookie – Coburg), Julian Zenger (rookie – YoungStars)
