By beating national cup silver medalists Volleyball Bisons Bühl in straight sets, partially 25-21, 25-19, 25-23, in a direct duel for No.6, valid for Round 18, TSV Herrsching leveled with today’s rivals and with No.5 Hypo Tirol AlpenVolleys Haching in the standings with each having 28 points on their account.
Christoph Marks topped Herrsching with 16 points, while Canadian Andre Brown made 5 kill blocks. The Japanese Masahiro Yanagida scored 15 points for Bühl, including 7 aces. The Argentinean libero Tomás Ruíz recorded 75% (12 digs, 1 error).
Berlin Recycling Volleys sealed No.2 for the playoffs after outplaying Netzhoppers SolWo Königspark by a 3-0 (25-23, 25-11, 32-30). The defending champions now have 10 points more compared to the third-placed United Volleys Rhein-Main, who are one game behind.
The Australian Adam White delivered 15 points (4 aces) for BR Volleys. His compatriot Luke Perry made 78% reception (18 digs, 1 error, 61% perfect). Paul Sprung topped Netzhoppers with 10 points. The Polish libero Kamil Ratajczak made 80% reception (15 digs, 1 error, 53% perfect).
