Last week Olympiacos lost in straight sets at home to Belogorie while Noliko beat Czech champions VK OSTRAVA. Greece and Belgium cross their ways for the second time this year as Olympiacos soccer team was drawn to play Belgium’s R.S.C. Anderlecht in the UEFA Champions League. The Volleyball players of Olympiacos want to emulate their colleagues from the soccer division and try to cement their chances to make the next round.
“We just had to forget our home defeat to Belogorie and we want to focus only and exclusively on our match with Noliko. It’s definitely a very different opponent than Belogorie but they are strong too. We knew already since the DOL that Olympiacos and Noliko were going to play for second place in the pool for Belogorie is simply out of reach. Noliko has a solid team and they have showed that in their home game with VK OSTRAVA. We have to play our best to achieve our goal which is nothing else than a victory. I hope the stands will be filled up by our fans and they will help us accomplish this mission” says head coach Dimitrios Kazazis.
