In an interview for Corriere dello Sport, Lube head coach Ferdinando De Giorgi summarized his team’s ambitions for 2020 and spoke of, practically, the only setback Lube faced in the first half of an ongoing season – the injury of an Iranian international Amir Ghafour who was projected to be the starting opposite hitter. Thus, De Giorgi admitted that the leaders of the 2019/20 SuperLega Credem Banca regular season are looking at the transfer market to solve the problem.
“Objectively, there’s a problem, we can’t pretend there isn’t, and his (Ghafour’s) prolonged absence obliges us to keep the eyes open on the market. But this doesn’t mean taking whatever there is just to plug the hole: what’s obvious is that we are looking around,“ Lube head coach said.
