Brazilians and Italians U21
Favourites Brazil and Italy also arrived, and they came at “Yildizhan” hotel in Izmir, but interestingly they came at the same time.
It seemed that players from both national teams were delighted to be at the same place at the same time because smiles were all over the place, no matter that the great rivals are in the same pool. It is Pool D, and besides Italy and Brazil there are France, Venezuela and the title defender Russia.
Four-time champions Brazil are the second most successful country at FIVB Men’s U21 with 4 titles and 12 medals in 16 editions of the competition.
Izmir is only one of two cities that will host the World Championship, the other one is the capital Ankara. World Champs will start on August 22 and ends on September 1.
