Paola Egonu will be one of the Olympic flag bearers at the opening ceremony of Tokyo 2020. Italian volleyball star, on the recommendation of CONI*, was chosen, along with some athletes from other countries, as one of the Olympic flag bearer at the opening ceremony in Tokyo on Friday, July 23.
“I am very honored to be assigned the task of being part of the IOC at the opening ceremony and carrying the Olympic flag. I was very excited when President Malagò* told me this news, because I will be representing athletes from all over the world, and this is a big responsibility – I will be representing and walking for every athlete on this planet. ” – Egonu said upon receiving this news.
