Italian men’s volleyball side Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia will not free the Olympic champion Douglas Souza just like that.
Vibo’s management is determined to fully respect the contract with the Brazil National Team member Douglas and the player may not play for another club this season. Bruno Voloch wrote in his blog that the SuperLega side will demand 100,000 euros to release the Olympic champion from Rio 2016. Obviously, the management of Vibo does not intend to forgive Douglas’ sudden departure from the club without a real warning, not falling for his explanation.
The requirement of the Italian club practically ends any transfer possibility of outside hitter for this season given that it is hardly likely any club in the world is ready to pay off his contract that much in the mid-season.
