The member of the Dutch Women’s Volleyball National Team, Laura Dijkema, is in Italy and trains with Unet e-work Busto Arsizio, waiting for the paperwork to get done before she puts on the club jersey.
The famous Dutch setter Dijkema joined the large group of foreign players who prematurely ended their season in Russia due to the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine. After returning home from St. Petersburg where she defended the colors of Leningradka, Best Setter of the 2017 CEV EuroVolley was contacted by Busto, which is having an emergency on her position due to simultaneous injuries of American Jordyn Poulter and Sofia Monza.
In order to play for ‘The Butterflies’, Dijkema has to get the release from the Russian team, which should arrive by April 2, the last day for the registration of new players in Serie A.
