Michele Baranowicz (Cucine Lube Banca Marche Macerata): “We knew it was never going to be easy. We had not played an official game in ten days and Perugia is an extremely strong team. We had a very negative start but we managed to stay calm and composed, especially after losing the third set. This is an important victory, won with character, but now we have to reset it all for Sunday’s game”.
Nemanja Petric (Sir Safety Perugia): “We got off to an excellent start, maintaining a high level of play. But then we faded, especially in attack and reception, which eased Macerata back into it. We’ve only lost the first encounter of the series, on Sunday we’ll have to give our best to make up for it in front of our fans”.
