@Melika Are you from Iran? If so, I can understand your point since no other naturalized player different than yours will ever play for Iranian national team. But this things in most of the world and in almost every sport are normal thing. The federations’ rules allow that…
Well, Iran has enough money more than many European countries to use naturalized players They can just do what Qatar did in Handball but They want players to play for them with their heart not coz for example his girlfriend is Iranian so he wants to play for Iran.But let’s keep the definition of the national team

there are other naturalized players who play in Iran league. but national team does not need other naturalized! it has good players and can be successful with them. but looks like poland and Italy and others needs foreign players because their own players aren’t good and trusted enought!!!
blueredwhite you are full of jelaously because such talent like Leon is one for a milion and he chosed Poland because his menager person who helped him escape from Cuba is Polish and Leon’s parents are living in Poland now. you are really little person, everyone in this world is looking for own home… aha and mentioning Qatar and handball yes, Poland personally lost to Qatar in fight for final and knows how to lost against plastic team but here it’s just only one player – Leon, not all team! situation isn’t similar because all Qatar players play in national team for petrol money, Leon doesn’t expect any money from Poland so how can you name this playing like for a club?!
can you also answer for my previous post about Russian NT with more than one player from USSR countries? Butko, Muserskiy, Tetuhin, Apalikov, Chtey, Pavlov?
let me see… Poland could have Belarussian Achrem from Resovia or Gladyr from Ukraine, but federation wasn’t interested and they are not worse than such Chtey or Apalikov. the only player who should play for Russia is Muserskiy because his talent and physical conditions are interesting but no one more, Russia should try to find players in Russia. is Russia really small country with little population hard to find player from russian territory? funny…
blueredwhite how do you know Leon will not play with heart for Poland? did you see Grozer playing without heart for Germany? let me remind you, with Grozer Germany ended at 3rd place in world championship and of course he was number one in team…
@Melika Tell me the name of one good volleyball player whose girlfriend/wife is Iranian of who wants to play for Iranian national team? The naturalized players don’t play for Iranian team because you have good enough players now, but for example in case Juantorena or Leon were married with Iranian girl, national federation of Iran would do everything to make them play for the national team! Iranian NF didn’t use this possibility just because they didn’t have any occasion. They would have used it for sure if they have had it!!!
Dear ? what you said about Russian NT is so true what i said is about all national teams but as far as know Pavlov has never played for Ukraine same goes for Musereskiy and Butko , They were all born in USSR so they decided to play for Russia ,just like Lasko played for Italy. and about Leon i m sure , u know if there was not any problem between Leon and Cuba Volleyball federation, now he was playing for his own country, MONEY these days is very important can changes people hearts
I have also seen ‘Saric’ the handball goalkeeper of Qatar playing with utmost effort and with his heart for Qatar. anyway I remember Poland a few months ago defeated Germany in soccer it was a great match for Poland, it means Poland has high potential WITHOUT players from other countries but if Poland decide to use them , yes they can be World champion too.anyway all that depends on Poland VF and FIVB and the player (in this case,Leon).
so why you didn’t mention so many USRR players playing for russian but you mentioned only leon, grozer and juantorena? because you are ‘blueredwhite’? lol?
go back to school, Poland have never been USRR state and will never be and the only thing common with Russia is border with little ex German city called Kaliningrad.

Poland is world champion without Leon but Leon will be good addition to world champion team. 🙂
@Melika stop being full of sh**, Iran is good player? How about the last 2 performances against USA this weeks? How about last WL? they didnt even get a medal.
Iranian people is so full of Marouf, just simply he s an ok setter who got to play Europe for the first time. And guess what? Zanit sacked him. That’s right, he got fired, even with last season in Russia he s not even called into the field in important match.

@TIRA Marouf contract was for a half a season and he won ECH title ,which after many years Wlazly, and Kurek still could not win.and he left Kazan since his style of playing had made it hard for some of Zenit player to be adopted( he plays so fast) . Vladmir Alekno has always talked about good of him and his style playing and compared him with legendary setters like Grbic and Ball. I don’ think you can understand volleyball better than Vladimir Alekno .And one thing more he was crucial for Zenit defeating Halkbank in second leg in Ankara and many other matches. RESPECT
