Paola Cardullo
Just eight days before the Olympic tournament, the Italian libero Paola Cardullo was forced to renounce participation in London 2012.
Despite the great efforts and hard work and her commitment, Paola failed to recover from the injury to her right ankle.
For two weeks she worked with the group, in Ekaterinnburg she took to the field for a few exchanges, but her present condition does not allow her to make “another” miracle she managed more than once in recent years.
In her place Monica De Gennaro was called, within a few hours she will join the team.
