A 26-year-old France National Team receiver/outside hitter Julien Lyneel has spoken to the press about the expectations and goals in the jersey of Italian Serie A1 team.

“Ravenna is a beautiful city, where I feel very good. I hope to have a good season. I have chosen Ravenna because they have an interesting and ambitious project. They built a very young team and it will be the fun and challenge to play with my new teammates. There is huge space for improvement and I am honored to share the responsibility to grow the team together with the most experienced players like Van Garderen and Torres,” left-handed receiver said at the press conference.

Lyneel was part of the French NT that took gold medal at the FIVB World League and CEV European Championship, both in 2015. He will also be the third Frenchman ever in Ravenna after Benjamin Toniutti and Kévin Tillie.

Last season Lyneel played in the Polish team Asseco Resovia Rzeszów and won silver medal in the league.
